I always tell my patients as long as you are happy with them and there are no signs of a rupture.  As time goes on, with most breast implants, the longer you keep the same implants the more likely they are to rupture.  There was a study showing that a lot of women have breast implant revision surgery within ten years, however this was for multiple reasons including to change the size or type of breast implant, because they chose to have a breast lift, and replacing their implants due to a rupture.
