Plastic surgery recovery times vary greatly from one procedure to the next. For example, a tummy tuck can require 3-4 weeks of rest before getting back to limited activities. On the other hand, many breast augmentation procedure patients often return to light work within 7 to 10 days. For most procedures, stitches are usually removed in 7 to 10 days, and patients should avoid any strenuous activities until their stitches are removed. Discomfort that requires prescription pain medication can last for as few as a couple of days and usually not more than 7 days.
In summary, the recovery times for plastic surgery will depend on you, your physical condition, how well you follow your recovery guidelines, and the extent of your particular procedure. If you are physically fit and have good muscle tone, this will help you recover faster than if you do not. Dr. Csikai will closely oversee your recovery to assure that your recovery goes smooth and that you are back to your regular activities as soon as safely possible.
We have included recovery details about each procedure on its respective procedure detail page. Just click the main menu icon at the top of this page and select the procedure you are interested in learning more about.
There are a variety of fees or costs associated to a plastic surgery procedure that can vary greatly depending on the procedure. And at First Coast Your surgery coordinator will provide the exact costs of your procedure before your surgery is scheduled. You’ll know your total procedure fees and what is included before moving forward. Dr. Csikai insists that all surgical fees, operating room fees and anesthesia fees be included and presented as one total fee, so there are no surprises.
Some procedures call for or require products and services that are not provided or performed by First Coast Plastic Surgery. But again, you will know your total procedure fees and what is included, and services or garments that we do not provide but will be needed before your surgery is scheduled.
Your initial consultation is a very important first step. During your initial consultation with Dr. Csikai, you will have an opportunity to explain why you are interested in plastic surgery, which procedure(s) you are interested in, the results you are interested in achieving, and also to ask any questions that you might have. Dr. Csikai will examine the areas of your face or body that you are interesting in improving or correcting and may take measurements. Dr. Csikai will also explain the necessary aspects of the procedure(s) that you are interested in, recovery times and the results you should expect.

You may also need to be physically approved for surgery by a physician. And you will also receive detailed instructions about preparing for your surgery, smoking and any medications and supplements that you are taking or may need to take.
One of the most common questions I receive during consultations is how much a tummy tuck will cost. While I understand why patients want a straightforward answer, the reality is that no two patients have the same anatomy, concerns, or surgical goals. For that reason, it is not possible to accurately quote a fixed price without first performing a thorough evaluation.
A tummy tuck is a highly customized procedure. Some patients may benefit from a traditional abdominoplasty, while others may be candidates for a mini tummy tuck. In certain situations, I may recommend combining a tummy tuck with liposuction or other body contouring procedures to address concerns more comprehensively. The most appropriate surgical plan depends on factors such as skin laxity, muscle separation, body composition, previous surgeries, and the patient’s desired outcome.
After more than 30 years of performing plastic surgery procedures, I have found that individualized treatment planning is one of the most important factors in achieving successful outcomes. Rather than recommending the same procedure for every patient, I carefully evaluate each person’s anatomy and goals before determining which approach I believe is most appropriate.
During your consultation, I will perform a detailed examination, review your medical history, discuss your expectations, and explain your available treatment options. Once a personalized surgical plan has been developed, my staff and I will provide a complete explanation of the recommended procedure, anticipated recovery, and the total cost associated with your treatment plan.
This individualized approach allows patients to receive recommendations based on their specific needs rather than generalized pricing or assumptions. It also ensures that the proposed procedure is designed to address the concerns identified during the consultation while maintaining realistic expectations and prioritizing patient safety.
One of the most common questions I receive during breast augmentation consultations is how much the procedure will cost. While patients understandably want a straightforward answer, breast augmentation is a highly individualized procedure, and the appropriate surgical plan can vary significantly from one patient to another.
Several factors influence treatment recommendations, including a patient’s anatomy, breast dimensions, skin quality, aesthetic goals, implant size, implant type, implant placement, and whether additional procedures may be beneficial. Some patients are candidates for breast augmentation alone, while others may benefit from combining breast implants with a breast lift to achieve their desired result. Because every patient is different, it is not possible to accurately determine the cost of surgery without first performing a comprehensive evaluation.
In my practice, patients may choose from several implant options, including saline implants, silicone gel implants, and highly cohesive silicone gel implants, often referred to as “gummy bear” implants. Each implant type offers unique characteristics, and selecting the most appropriate implant involves a detailed discussion of your goals, anatomy, lifestyle, and preferences.
After more than 30 years of performing plastic surgery procedures, I have found that successful breast augmentation begins with careful planning and patient education. During your consultation, I will evaluate your anatomy, discuss your desired outcome, explain the advantages and limitations of each implant option, and recommend a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
Once your surgical plan has been finalized, my staff and I will provide a complete explanation of the procedure, anticipated recovery process, and all associated costs. This individualized approach allows patients to make informed decisions based on their unique goals rather than generalized pricing information.
One of the most common questions I receive from patients considering liposuction is how much the procedure will cost. While I understand the desire for a simple answer, liposuction is not a one-size-fits-all procedure. Every patient presents with different anatomy, treatment goals, body composition, and areas of concern. Because of these variables, it is not possible to accurately determine the cost of liposuction without first conducting a thorough consultation and examination.
In my practice, I utilize Power Assisted Liposuction (PAL), an advanced liposuction technology designed to assist with the removal of unwanted fat while allowing for precise body contouring. However, the appropriate treatment plan varies significantly from patient to patient. Some individuals may require treatment of a single area, while others may benefit from contouring multiple areas during the same procedure. Common treatment areas include the abdomen, flanks, upper back, arms, and inner or outer thighs, but not every patient requires the same approach.
After more than 30 years of performing plastic surgery procedures, I have learned that patient safety must always take precedence over the amount of fat removed or the number of areas treated. There are established limits regarding how much liposuction can be performed safely during a single operation, and these limits vary based on the patient’s overall health, body mass index, treatment areas, and surgical goals. During your consultation, I will evaluate these factors and discuss what I believe can be performed safely and effectively.
The total cost of liposuction depends on several considerations, including the number of treatment areas, anticipated surgical time, anesthesia requirements, operating facility resources, and the complexity of the procedure. Because each surgical plan is customized, the most accurate way to obtain pricing information is through a personal consultation.
